Her parents Frank and Deepa separated when Diya Mirza was 6 year old. After three year of separationactress dad passed away then her mom married with Ahmed Mirza. After age of 16 she got some modeling offers.
Actress was encouraged to take part in the 2000 Femina Miss India Beauty Pageant, which Diya Mirza did, came up the 2nd runner-up & won 3 titles namely Femina Miss India-Pacific, Sony Viewers Choice Award & Miss Beautiful Smile award. It was a big success for her. In 2001 she started her film career and her debut film was ‘rehna hai tere dil ma’.
It was a good film but not hit. Then after this film she did work in many films like ‘dum’, ‘tumko na bhool paye ge’, ‘deewanapan’, ‘tumsa nhi dekha’, ‘parineeta’, ‘lage raho munna bhai’ etc. Still now she did not give any blockbuster film but people saw her in many movies and liked her acting and appreciated her.
She has also done many TV commercials like Emami, Lipton and lots of more. Now these days Diya Mirza is busy in her upcoming ventures and she is hoping people will like her in upcoming films.
